11. Diesel Electric Propulsion System

When a boatbuilder restoring a classic motor cruiser was asked to install a new design of diesel electric propulsion system they were faced with a heap of complicated parts to install. They called Kilworth Marine Services to provide a solution. We liaised with the system’s manufacturer suggesting changes as we identified them prior to installation. Our management of the project included specifying and ordering additional equipment, planning and installing the system and installing the fuel system for both generators.

Unfortunately due to other commitments we were not present when the system manufacturer’s commissioned it, but the whole system functioned perfectly first time.
