17. Fuel Management System

Because we had already worked on several projects for the owner of a Dutch Barge he asked us to sort out a recently installed fuel system that had been condemned by a surveyor. Kilworth Marine Services analysed his requirement that consisted of separate fuel tanks for propulsion and heating with the ability to transfer fuel between them. We designed a replacement tank for the propulsion fuel and fitted it in the engineroom, and produced a fuel filtration and control panel using his existing filters.
